What Will You Do?

The Junior Configurator Administrator plays a pivotal role in Product Configurator design and maintenance, as well as in customer-facing systems, data, and processes. This role requires a blend of technical proficiency, project and time management skills, and a keen attention to detail. Key responsibilities involve performing Configurator ‘programming’, taking ownership of Configurator related tasks/projects, and collaborating cross-functionally to investigate and resolve systems and Configurator issues. This position has potential for remote work at the discretion of management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Take direction from the Senior Configurator Administrator (SCA) when performing basic to complex duties related to the development and maintenance of Product Configurator rules.
  • Work cross-functionally to maintain applications such as the Request for Quote (RFQ) form.
  • Track and report out on relevant Configurator projects, functions, and analytics.
  • Assist and lead discussion related to the CR/CO process, Configuration processes, and Continuous Improvement.
  • Work within the department and cross-functionally to investigate and resolve system related issues such as missing or incorrect part allocations, missing routings, and system/configuration errors.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to implement new features, products, and improvements in the Configurator.
  • Interpret, debug, and develop basic SQL reports inside system, and understand general database architecture.
  • Work with general algebraic, mathematical, and logical functions and arguments to apply to the development of Configurator Rules, data analytics, and pricing analyses.

REQUIREMENTS FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:

  • Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience working with ERP software.

SKILLS/ABILITIES/SPECIFICATIONS

  • Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office 365 Software Suite (particularly in excel).
  • Certifications in Microsoft 365 Suite
  • Experience or certifications with Oracle DBMS, Oracle SQL, and IFS Applications (IFS 10, Aurena, Cloud)
  • Experience working with Product Configurators and/or Relational Databases.
  • Understanding and prior application of programmatic operations such as functions, loops, arrays, and variables.
  • Certification or experience with Lean / Six Sigma in a project setting.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Willing to learn and adapt new or existing skills.
