What Will You Do?
Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Material Handler receives incoming materials, stocks materials in assigned locations, order picks and transports materials to production work centers. This position also conducts final product inspections and performs all shipping functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Receives, transacts, labels and transports materials to stocking locations
- Accurately order pick production materials per picklist and deliver to production work centers
- Maintains accuracy of inventory locations and monitors expense type items per min/max levels
- Prepares product for shipment following product wrap up and final inspection procedures
- Operate bridge crane for loading shipments onto trailers and/or containers
- Processes all material rejection and material change order transactions in operating system
- Maintains material handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections, as well as general maintenance repairs
- Supports good relationships with co-workers. Encourages a teamwork concept for maximum productivity and quality
- Responsible for the proper use of equipment and tools in assigned areas
- Ensure all cleanup / housekeeping, and safety procedures are followed
- Maintain a positive work environment by consistently achieving goals and reinforcing team approach
- Interact professionally with all departments, vendors, and customers for the betterment of Zero Zone
- Other duties may be assigned
What Are We Looking For?
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required of you for this position:
- Minimum of high school diploma or GED is required; six months to one-year manufacturing experience desired.
- Material Handling experience required; including experience in performing operating system transactions and ability to operate forklift, wav equipment, pallet jack, bridge crane and utilize basic tools.
- Prompt and regular attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Employee must regularly stand, talk, hear, stand, walk, reach, stoop, lift, climb or balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and must regularly lift and/or move up to 45 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include distance vision, close vision, peripheral vision, & depth perception.
