Zero Zone is a manufacturer of reach-in and open refrigerated and frozen food display cases as well as the refrigeration systems that work behind the scenes to cool the cases, keeping the food fresh! We also make powerful industrial refrigeration systems for food warehousing, pharmaceuticals, and even ice rinks!

Our company is structured across 2 divisions – the Display Case Division, located in North Prairie, WI, Waukesha, WI, and Mukwonago, WI and the Refrigeration Systems Division, located in Ramsey, MN and Dyersville, IA.

What Will You Do?

Under the guidance of the Vice President/General Manager the Inside Sales Manager will be responsible for communicating with our sales teams and customers to better understand their needs and ensuring a smooth sales process. This position will provide effective onsite leadership and assistance to the inside sales team whose main job functions include quoting, ordering, acknowledging and invoicing customer orders. We are looking for a strong communicator who is able to create a collaborative atmosphere between all departments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Confers with the Vice President/General Manager in developing Sales goals, which effectively supports overall Company objectives
  • Provides pricing guidelines to achieve sales goals and appropriate management of margins
  • Communicates with customers, sales representatives, RSM’s, and other departments/personnel to effectively meet or exceed our customer’s requirements
  • Develops and maintains schedules to ensure quotes are completed and accurate product delivery is communicated to customers
  • Researches and analyzes data such as customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application
  • Confers with management, production, and engineering to determine sales feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products
  • Coordinates activities between departments as required for continuous improvement in the overall efforts to exceed customer’s expectations
  • Oversees and ensures accurate and complete invoicing information is provided to the accounting department
  • Provides feedback to engineering, production, purchasing and other affected personnel based on field input
  • Resolves customer concerns regarding sales and delivery dates
  • Establishes customer relationships by conducting customer visits in order to provide factory support during technical discussions
  • Performs related work as apparent or assigned

REQUIREMENTS FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Engineering, Business Management or equivalent work experience and knowledge.
  • 10 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Refrigeration, parallel rack system, and supermarket system knowledge necessary

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of company personnel and others at all levels

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, vendors, customers, and the general public in a customer-oriented manner
  • Ability to solve and define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in an urgent manner
  • Directly supervises Sales employees by carrying out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints, and resolving problems

PHYSICAL & BEHAVIORAL:

  • Zero Zone expects all employees to behave and communicate in a manner which will facilitate good relations with customers, clients, co-workers, and supervisors, maintaining a positive work atmosphere
  • Regularly required to stand or walk; talk or hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and lift and/or move up to 25 pounds usually from the floor to waist level, up to 20 feet away
  • Regularly required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, usually from the floor to waist level, up to 20 feet away
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
