Our Legacy and Commitment to Community and Family

On June 8, 1961, George Johnson, Duke Wegner, and K. Hirata founded Zero Zone in a rented barn in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. Since then, their dedication to customer satisfaction, through personalized support and customizable options, has fostered a legacy of trust for over six decades. Consequently, today, we remain committed to upholding these values while we continue to serve our community.

At Zero Zone, we prioritize the care and support of our family. Recognizing the importance of people, we place support and empathy at the heart of our culture. Whether you are an employee, customer, or partner, Zero Zone responds to your needs with attentiveness and care.

Responding to Our Customers

Kali Kinziger, the Cases Division's Product Manager, presents a video that outlines how Zero Zone defines its relationship with customers. In this video, she illustrates our commitment to responsiveness and showcases how we develop custom-tailored solutions to meet our customers' needs.

The Community

Zero Zone has partnered with Apprentice Now to develop a curriculum for candidates to learn how to service commercial and industrial refrigeration equipment. Specifically, this 10-week program, which began in September 2024, enrolled 14 students. For example, among them, Kyle Hero graduated on December 3, 2024. In this video, he shares his transformative experience and how Zero Zone has positively impacted his life.

Building the Team

John Duimstra began his journey at Zero Zone as a controller 36 years ago and has since advanced to the position of CFO. Moreover, Zero Zone continues to promote continuing education and career paths for its employees. For instance, we support our team through training seminars, refrigeration courses, industry events, and roundtable discussions with other companies. Ultimately, these initiatives are designed to set our employees up for success. To learn more, watch John's testimonial about his experience and the opportunities at Zero Zone.

Caring for Our Family

Christy and Chris Lauterbach began their careers at Zero Zone over 20 years ago, after a recommendation from Chris's mother, Gloria, to apply for positions within the company. In this video, they discuss the work/life balance that Zero Zone offers and how it has positively impacted their lives. Furthermore, see how Zero Zone creates a culture of responsiveness, delivering reliable and innovative refrigeration solutions.
