Creating a Culture of Responsiveness: A Zero Zone Promise

On June 8, 1961, George Johnson, Duke Wegner, and K. Hirata founded Zero Zone in a rented barn in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. Their dedication to customer satisfaction, through personalized support and customizable options, has fostered a legacy of trust over six decades. Today, we remain committed to upholding these values as we continue to serve our community.

At Zero Zone, one of our core values is the care and support of our family. We recognize the importance of people; support and empathy for everyone we engage with are central to our culture. Whether you are an employee, customer, or partner, Zero Zone is committed to being responsive to your needs.

Responding to Our Customers

Kali Kinziger, the Cases Division's Product Manager, presents a video that outlines how Zero Zone defines its relationship with customers. She illustrates our commitment to responsiveness and showcases how we develop custom-tailored solutions to meet our customers' needs.

The Community

Zero Zone has partnered with Apprentice Now to develop a curriculum for candidates to learn how to service commercial and industrial refrigeration equipment. This 10-week program, which began in September 2024, enrolled 14 students. Among them, Kyle Hero graduated on December 3, 2024. In this video, he shares his transformative experience and how Zero Zone has positively impacted his life.

Building the Team

John Duimstra began his journey at Zero Zone as a controller 36 years ago and has since advanced to the position of CFO. Zero Zone continues to promote continuing education and career paths for its employees. We support our team through training seminars, refrigeration courses, industry events, and roundtable discussions with other companies. These initiatives are designed to set our employees up for success. Watch John's testimonial to learn more about his experience and the opportunities at Zero Zone.

Caring for Our Family

Christy and Chris Lauterbach began their careers at Zero Zone over 20 years ago, following a recommendation from Chris's mother, Gloria, to apply for positions within the company. In this video, they discuss the work/life balance that Zero Zone offers and how it has positively impacted their lives.
